Submission and Preliminary Evaluation

Manuscripts submitted to Krisno undergo an initial evaluation by the editorial team to verify their alignment with the journal's submission guidelines, focus, and scope. Manuscripts that pass this initial screening are assigned to Associate Editors or handling editors with expertise in the manuscript's subject area.

Selection of Peer Reviewers

The handling editor identifies independent experts in the relevant field to serve as peer reviewers. These reviewers are chosen based on their subject matter expertise, impartiality, and ability to provide a thorough evaluation. Each reviewer is given detailed guidelines and evaluation criteria to assess the manuscript’s originality, significance, methodology, results, and interpretation.

Evaluation by Peer Reviewers

Peer reviewers critically assess the manuscript on its academic merit, relevance, clarity, and methodological rigor. Their evaluations include constructive feedback, identification of strengths and weaknesses, and specific recommendations for improvement. Based on their analysis, reviewers suggest whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.

Editorial Decision

After receiving feedback from the peer reviewers, the handling editor reviews the reports and makes a decision regarding the manuscript. Editors may choose to accept the manuscript, request revisions in response to reviewers' comments, or reject it if it fails to meet the journal's standards or scope. Authors are informed of the editorial decision and provided with recommendations for any necessary revisions or further actions.

Revision and Resubmission

When revisions are required, authors address the comments provided by the peer reviewers and modify their manuscript accordingly. Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the handling editor and, if needed, sent back to the original reviewers for further review. Authors are expected to submit a detailed response outlining how each reviewer’s feedback has been addressed.

Final Decision and Publication

Once a revised manuscript meets the journal's standards and satisfies the reviewers and handling editor, it is accepted for publication. The accepted manuscript undergoes final processes, including copyediting, typesetting, and formatting, before online publication. Authors are notified of the publication date and receive a link to the published article.

Commitment to Transparency and Confidentiality

JCLT-Krisno ensures an anonymous peer review process to maintain impartiality and confidentiality. Reviewers’ identities are not disclosed to authors, and authors' identities remain anonymous during the review process. To enhance transparency, the journal may publish anonymized reviewer comments alongside accepted manuscripts, allowing readers to understand the evaluation process.
